So what is a food pyramid? And why did we design our own?

A food pyramid is designed to tell you what foods should make up your diet; what you should emphasise, what you should restrict, and what you should eliminate. Those at the top should be eliminated or severely restricted, those at the bottom should form the foundation of your diet. 

The problem is that in our opinion most of those out there, some of them government backed and widely distributed, are misguided in what they are telling you. 

Ask yourself this question: how are our current ways of eating working for us? Are obesity rates plummeting? Is heart disease receding? What about cancers and other degenerative diseases?  

Something has to change.  

 

The 3D Personal Training Food Pyramid – what’s different?

But it’s time to admit something. What we’ve done isn’t radical. In fact, it’s not even remotely new. Anyone living ten thousand years or so ago could have told you exactly the same thing. 

It’s simple. We just think that humans should eat according to our evolutionary instincts, not according to modern convenience or industry marketing budgets.
