Hydrogenated,
Trans- and Man-made Fats
You
will find these nasty villains difficult to avoid if you especially
eat a lot of processed food. They are everywhere, even well disguised
as health products like energy bars.
Margarine, shorteners and most wrapped, boxed or bagged processed
foods are full of them. Look at your next packet of crackers,
cookies, or pastries and if you see “hydrogenated or partially
hydrogenated” you want to stay well clear of them.
So here’s how they work:
structurally trans fatty acids are closer to plastic than fat!
Unfortunately your body does not recognise them as a toxin and
once in the system they block utilization of essential fatty acids
causing many side-effects including:
• Sexual dysfunction
• Increased blood cholesterol
• Weakness leading to paralysis of the immune
system
• Obesity and many other serious health issues
